Day 1 of Remembering YoU Fair Comes to a Close!

Local activist and entertainer Rayceen Pendarvis speaks with research assistant Alandro Valdez and other attendees during an event hosted by the D.C. Center for the LGBT community.

As day one of the fair comes to a close, the Remembering YoU team would like to thank the many community members and friends who came out to see the exhibits, booths, performances, and other programming during our day-long celebration of U Street! We look forward to hosting the community again tomorrow, for yet another day of festivities, panels, and more. Please visit the “Nov. 8-9 Community Archiving Fair” tab on our site to view a complete schedule of the events for Saturday, Nov. 9.

In the meantime, feel free to check out our recent feature in The Washington Post to learn more about the project’s origins and goals! We hope to see you at one of the many events we have planned for the U Street community tomorrow, Nov. 9, during day two of our fair!
